The Biased Roulette Wheel
A biased roulette wheel can be a gambler’s dream. The term “bias” in gambling refers to an action or event that consistently shows a pattern over a period of time. A biased roulette wheel has a defect that results in particular number to come up an average of every twenty to thirty spins or so. With the likelihood of one particular number coming up continually, you can bet on that number each spin and end up ahead of the house!
For the player to notice a biased roulette wheel, they need to watch and record spin results on the same roulette wheel looking at any numbers that seem to come up more consistently then other numbers. The bias could be the result of a wheel, the marble being used or the slant of the table in addition to other reasons.
Although it may sound easy, finding a biased roulette wheel is not a simple task. Casino’s are often checking for biased roulette wheels and eliminate the flaw as quickly as it is found. Keep in mind that casinos are keeping an eye out for biased wheels as keenly as you are to find one so act quickly while you can and take advantage of the biased roulette wheel while it exists.
Defect Roulette Wheel
A defect on a roulette wheel can be born or the direct result of wear and tear, usually the latter. Some defects tend to favor numbers this type of defect is called pocket defects while other defects will give higher probability on whole sectors. An example of a biased wheel could be that over time the number 29 compartment will become worn and slightly more open then the other wheel compartments. This unnoticeable difference on the wheel could increase the odds of 29 coming up more often and allow the gambler the opportunity to beat the house.
One of the more common bias is loosened edges between the table pockets. This provides a more sluggish recoil when the ball hits therefore providing the pocket with a higher probability rate. Sector bias can be caused by rotor wobble. The rotor is placed on the spindle, which can be crooked due to the rotor being taken off and cleaned daily. Also, a defect can occur in the rotation at the top of the sides where the ball is spinning.
Wobbles combined with defective ball tracks at the top can on the other hand increase biased numbers and sectors. If the ball lands on the rotor while on the lower end of its wobble, the ball will most likely stay there as it has a harder time running up the plate then down.
Overall a biased roulette wheel has a small impact and usually many different aspects are required to match up in order to play a bias with a profit. But it is possible and you should jump on it while you can before the casinos take notice or this becomes mainstream knowledge.
